We’re on a roll right now with Broken Frontier ‘Six to Watch’ artists and crowdfunding campaigns! The latest comes from one of our 2021 creators Alxndra Cook, whose Momotekku will be her first long-form work and will be published by Koguchi Press.

Momotekku is described as “a Science-Fantasy comic following Ai as she is dragged into an adventure by the magical creature called Dog. Her quest takes her on a journey to find the god Momotekku, defeating Ogres, meeting Munki, finding sisterhood, and learning to accept herself.” Check out some of the gorgeous art below.
It’s been an absolute joy to see how far Alxndra’s work has developed over the last couple of years with a growing storytelling confidence on show as her various projects (Kiyomi’s Prequel, Wednesday’s Child, Ghostly Thoughts and Moonlit) have emerged in that time. She’s shown an incredible versatility with practice that has included the mythic, horror, graphic poetry, slice-of-life and fantasy, and it was only a matter of time before a publisher stepped in to take her work to new audiences.
